Two suspected robbers lynched, two arrested in Bosome Freho
Robbers arrested - Two suspected robbers have been lynched by residents of Appiahkrom and Nsokote in the Bosome Freho District of the Ashanti Region.
The deceased, identified as Richard Arhin, 26, and Eric Osei, 27, were reportedly part of a gang that carried out a robbery operation at Maame Ama, a village near Nsokote.
The robbery resulted in the death of a 50-year-old man, Emmanuel Kwadwo Obeng, who was shot in the chest and died instantly.
The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on June 17, 2025.
According to a report by Adomonline.com on June 19, 2025, two other suspects believed to be involved in the crime were apprehended by residents and handed over to the police in Fomena, located in the Adansi North District.
The Fomena District Police Commander, DSP Samson Wunyi Mumuni, confirmed the incident in an interview with Adom News.
He stated that the bodies of the lynched suspects have been deposited at the Fomena District Hospital morgue, while the two suspects in custody will be arraigned before court soon.
Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
