Stranger things season 5 trailer Everything To Know Ahead Of Netflix TUDUM
Stranger things season 5 trailer - It’s been three years since new Stranger Things episodes aired – and fans are counting down the days until the highly-anticipated final season. Here’s everything to know (so far) about Stranger Things Season 5, including the exciting news that could be announced tonight during Netflix’s TUDUM 2025.
Filming for the final season of Stranger Things began in January 2024 and wrapped 11 months later in December. In an emotional Instagram post, co-creator Ross Duffer reflected on what it’s been like to tell these stories for a decade and to watch the cast grow up around him.
“We’ve been telling this story for nearly a decade now. Many of our cast members joined us when they were kids, just ten or eleven years old. It wasn’t just a show for them—it was a defining part of their childhood. They’ve grown up before our eyes, becoming more than actors—they’ve become family,” he said.
The co-creator added that everyone involved in Season 5 “was determined to bring this story to a satisfying conclusion. They poured their hearts and souls into it, and we couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve accomplished.”

Netflix has yet to announce an official release date for Stranger Things Season 5, though the streamer has confirmed it will debut sometime in 2025.
There’s a strong possibility Season 5 will be split into two parts, similar to Season 4. (Volume One was released on May 27, followed by Volume Two five weeks later on July 1.) This is a common release strategy Netflix often uses for its most popular series, including The Witcher, Bridgerton and Emily in Paris.
More details about the release date could be revealed during Netflix’s TUDUM live event on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. (Don’t worry – If you’re not watching live, I’ll be updating this story with the latest information as it comes in.)
